My name is Mike Cini, and after 30-40 years in IT, I realised there had to be a smarter way to back sports and horse racing. With the beginning of AI, I started on what I thought would be a quick journey to get better information and better systems to use.
What I discovered was that when you take emotion out of the bet cycle and utilise the data at hand, you can achieve good-to-great results that improve over time.
I started with my usual betting systems but soon realised I could use the data at hand to find things that we could not calculate, like Barrier slicing and how weather affects the barrier bias on any certain day.
After using my personal systems, I turned to Machine Learning to see what I was missing. This was when a better-quality bet occurred, and I was surprised by the results; I know they will only get better.
I started this journey in November 2025, using my mates as guinea pigs. Their advice on this journey has been extremely valuable, and I am keen to help others along the way. Like all betting advice, it's not 100% guaranteed, but at least we have better data to hand.
